Today’s the Philippine Independence Day, a non-working holiday here in the Philippines, yet I am here in the office spending some 8-9 hours of work again. I could have been out this day (or tomorrow – June 13 – to offset) but the choice is not mine for now ~ I would have to be here for a certain information campaign that I should deliver myself. Being here during days when offices are closed and people are having some good times out has been pretty customary. I still feel homey though despite the non-presence of Mom and Dad, my sometimes pesky nephews and niece, and of course, my ever galling siblings! Since this has been a normal cycle for me and my officemates, their presence seem to compensate my craving to the laughs of my very own family (at home, times like this are bonding time). And yes, I would have to join my ever-beloved officemates in sacrificing the should-be-day-off in the service of our client. Speak about work dedication!
Good thing though, time runs too fast and the half of the day is over as I am writing this. In a few more hours, I’ll be home sweet home! Ought to get some good rest as a relaxing weekend awaits me. One more day and I could tuck myself in my room to finish reading the Twilight Book ~ my second take. Of course, reading the New Moon Book is sure to follow; I need to refresh my vampire knowledge since in a few more months the second part of the saga will be shown in theatres. I’ve seen the trailer of New Moon and it stirred my excitement (here comes some violent reactions from people who thinks that the second movie was also low-budgeted, like the first). I could sense the Team Edward-Team Jacob battle gearing up once more! Hehehe, this time around, I’ll be in support of the wolf. Dunno, guess I just want to be with the side of the wolves on this one.
For now, happy weekend everyone! See yah some other time!
