I initially heard about this from my friend Ryan and he said he can’t take some time off to think the 25 random things about him. I never knew this has really been a fad till I chanced upon four entries from my Multiply contacts. Knowing me, I ought to join the recent craze.
So, drum rolls please…
- I have three nicknames – Ady, Ian, Drix. Ady is my nickname at school, at work and the nickname my relatives from the mother side is calling me. Ian is my nickname at home and the moniker my father’s side’s relatives call me. Drix is the nickname I used when I worked before at Jollibee; my batchmates before were “pa-cute” so I also thought of a nickname that’s new and somewhat unique (I thought it was unique because no one knows me as Drix).
- I eat all veggies except “okra”… I hate that slimy feeling when eating it… I eat “patola” though… weird!
- My phobia is with frogs… got traumatized from my Biology Class way back high school when we dissected frogs… the night when we did it, I dreamt of all those frogs we “killed” attacking me.
- I was once a fan of Jao Mapa. I bought his first and only album (in cassette), and back then, I memorized two of his songs ~ Talikogenic and Gimik. Actually, three songs; I just forgot to title of the other one. I liked his character in “Pare Ko” – Chipper, the fast-food crew.
- I loved watching the Probe Team more than 5 and Up during my elementary and high school days. I also liked watching Mel and Jay. I once dreamt of being a talk show host.
- I really can’t stand bad smells ~ decaying garbage, body odor, clothes that were not sun-dried ~ once these smells get into my nose, they stay longer than the usual and expect me to vomit and have instant migraine attack.
- I took up Psychology because I idolized my Aunt Onie, aside from the fact that I once got into a “word-fight” with a psychologically challenged girl. And take note, I enjoyed it! Now, who do you think is sane between us?
- I have hyperacidity but I can’t shy away from coffee.
- I cheated in my Panitikan Class way back in college. And I still got a 1.50 from that subject though… madiskarteng bata!
- I did not graduate with honors in college because I dropped one PE Subject (Dance Lessons). I did not regret it though… I know my general weighted average was higher than the class valedictorian… (bitter pa din ako!)
- During my third and fourth year in college, I had two scholarships. I always get the second scholarship in cold cash hehehe so mayaman ako noon!
- I am a frustrated painter. I really can’t draw!
- I once competed in a Poem Recital Contest in Elementary. When I won, I couldn’t contain my happiness ~ tumulo ang laway ko on stage hehehe…
- I was a lyrist way back in elementary and high school. I could also play the snare drum, the bass drum and the cymbals back then. Actually, kaya ko din mag-majorette!
- I hate Home Economics classes during high school. I always ask my Mom to do my projects. And during my Basic Electricity subject, I cheated as well in a Major Exam… Kasi naman installation of mga electrical devices kung anu-ano… tapos zero or perfect lang ang score mo… Last resort: CHEAT… Kakahiyang mazero, first section pa naman ako!
- Someone from my high school days has a special spot in my heart. Sino siya… Ahhmmm…
- I am a Sustagen Kid. Remember Susie and Geno? And once when we ran out of cash and my parents couldn’t buy my Sustagen, they served me “kapeng barako”. Me being “pilosopo” asked my Dad, “Nanununtok po ba iyan?”
- I was once an altar server… oh, wag na kayo mag-react. I also got six Best in Religion Awards during my Elementary Days.
- I was called the “Dollar Son” by my parents. I was badly sick when I was still an infant.
- When I was a kid, I was the one tasked to clean our “arinola”. Then by night time, I would have to put it near our bedroom so me and my siblings would have easy access to urinate.
- I do not wear undies when I am at home… I just have shorts and that’s it! Hala, wag kayong pupunta sa amin para bosohan ako!
- My room is a small messy place… have CDs everywhere, paper everywhere, shoes everywhere, clothes everywhere… and of course, dusts everywhere.
- I am now missing Pizza Hut…
- I can’t live without my cell phone.
- I will soon have my BOJO
