Patani Rocks!!!

Dahil aminado akong super aliw ako sa kaniya, here is a blog entry I read from www.pep.ph about Patani, the Pambansang Yaya...

Patani

By Jojo Gabinete, from his blog in www.pep.ph

Malinaw ang “Shout” post sa kanyang Friendster account (published as is):

Sinsya nah…4 those people requesting me to,ayos may friendster daw…to response sa mga comment nila…and for the request,na halos hindi ko ma accept accept…sinsya na poh…coz, this year…I’m too much busy….”

Sino nga ba si Patani?

Walang higit na nakakakilala kay Patani kundi ang sarili niya, kaya minabuti naming i-share sa mga PEPster ang mga unedited information na galing sa kanya.

My beauty for me and my family is belong in middle class standard.

I’m not intelligent, but not totally brainless/bird brain In short, I’m not perfect but no ones in this super duper complicated world perfect!

But whatever I’m proud to say that Ive lot of talent and I’m loving and speaking of “loving” for me, it’s complete because if you love you can do everything, you can do anything.

But I’ll never believe the word”love is blind”. No one is blind, just bec.of love, you blind, because you afraid the real the true and because you loved, you’re pretend that you’re blind because you afraid to accept the truth. Anyway, I love to travel.I love to shopping. I love to go out of town w/ my family. But just emagine, we can’t afford that. I have a big and simple family.

M hometown is Camotes Island, it’s province of Cebu Region 7. But now, I’m here in city, which Cebu. Then, I’m just staying w/ my sistah, helping to take good care in my niece. I’m just a high school graduate.

Then,if I’m lonely, I’m spend my time in writing poem, script, advertisement in Tagalog version and English.

Who I Want to Meet: I want to meet a male or female with age from 18 to 80 and I want to meet for friendship. Want to meet a totally human being. And speaking of human,.important they have heart, mind, soul and spirit. Why ? Because if they don’t have this thing, mostly of us,crying, sacrificing. Why? Because lots of person, having a body but not totally a human. They have heart but no feeling. Why? Because no soul,no spirit. They have mind but still stupid! Because they didn’t use it. That’s why I want to meet a true, a fully, a totally human…

Siya si Patani. Walang pretensiyon sa buhay. Walang ere. Walang kiyeme.

Survivor

I know of many friends, colleagues and acquaintances that are now hooked with Survivor Philippines in GMA 7. The ratings have been impressive despite its late time slot and I know that most of the cast-aways have made their marks in the minds of the Kapuso viewers (or should I say Filipino viewers since many friends, colleagues and acquaintances who are self-confessed Kapamilyas are also watching this show?). Patani Daño has now realized her dream of having “exfoshore” since I heard she co-hosted with Lucy Torres in the latter’s show in QTV when Wilma Doesnt was out. And I am definitely sure there will be more “exfoshore” to come for her. There had been a spoiler as well saying that JC Tiuseco will be the Sole Survivor as apparently, someone overheard the staff and crew of Survivor talking in a coffee shop somewhere about this. This was of course denied by the host, Paolo Bediones and he stressed that the Sole Survivor will remain unnamed until the finals night. As of this time, the winner is known only to the show’s Program Manager and all of them, from the host to the cast-aways to the staff and crew were all guarded by Confidentiality Agreements (hmmm, sounds familiar) they have signed prior to the show. A legal case awaits those who’ll spill the beans.

If you are familiar as to how all Survivor series are done (I am actually not but thanks to my friend Yeth for explaining to me), you’ll know that the shooting and taping has long ended before the actual airing of the show starts. The final two contenders will be revealed only on the show’s last week of showing and the previously voted-out cast-aways will be the ones to choose who between these final two will be the Sole Survivor. Since GMA’s version is franchised, I believe that they are bound to follow the same practices and principles as the Mother Survivor has. That said, I agree that the spoiler article or even the discussion in the coffee shop are not true. I’ll also stress my reasons later in this entry as to why I personally do not believe JC will win the title.

I am really fond of reality-based shows. From Search for a Star to PDA Season 2, I think I only missed all Star Circle Quests and PBB Season 1 and Teen Edition 1; the rest of all these shows I followed religiously, regardless if it’s from GMA or ABS and yes, IBC 13 (Search for a Star was aired by VIVA in IBC 13). Of course, I always have my bet and statistically, I am in the 60% to 70% win in betting. My winners’ circle included Sarah Geronimo, Erik Santos, Jennylyn Mercado, Jonalyn Viray, Mike Tan, Ryza Cenon, Marky Cielo, Sam Bumatay, Gerald Santos, Yeng Constantino, Beatriz Saw, and Keanna Reeves. I also had an entry airing my sentiments as to how my votes for Robi Domingo of PBB Season 2 were not counted and felt that there had been manipulations by ABS in their vote tabulation. At least for Survivor (under the impression that GMA will follow the mechanics of the mother show), the winner will be chosen by the cast-aways themselves. Safe way of selecting the winner, huh!

And now, talking about bets and since Survivor Philippines is the ‘in-thing’ nowadays, let me enumerate my bets and my thoughts on each of them:

My Top Five would be Zita, Cris, JC, Jace and Kiko. Originally, I am rooting for Patani, Niña, Zita, Cris and JC but since the first two already left the Ko Tarutao I gave Jace and Kiko my final two slots. And surprisingly, I am more “makamasa” now unlike before when I am rooting for the ones who are well-off, good-looking and capable to earn a spot in the local showbiz (Patani, Zita and Cris are usually not my type for bets). I guess watching the many shows and seeing how the unlikely contenders win the top plum made me more mature in accepting the fact that no matter how much I spend for the text votes, the producers, the director and the people behind the show will hand-pick the winner (here I go ranting again about the Robi Domingo scam).

Now why them? My original choices:

Patani - we all love the girl. Simplicity and innocence wise, she captured the hearts of the many viewers. The “yaya” has now become a household name. I think her being very vocal that she’s only after the “exfoshore” worked for her. And my, her comic antics are all natural! Cast her in Bubble Gang please!

Niña – had it not for her injury, I know Niña will get a long way in the show. She is fair, just and very competitive in all the challenges and she has this strong personality which her tribe mates in Jarakay sees as a threat, especially when it comes to forming alliances.

My Top Five (as of this writing):

Zita - the “labandera”. Her purpose of joining the show was really noble. She only wants the best for her seven children. She has jumped from one house to another and worked as a helper. Now in her mid-life years, she joined Survivor only to bring her youngest kid to school and give this child the education Zita herself was deprived of.

Cris – I like his comic antics. Cris is not the strong one ~ physically and mentally. But the way he treats his tribe mates, how he contribute to the challenges and the tasks and how he simply alleviate the boredom of the Naaks in their everyday stay in the island are really commendable. If I could cast Cris in a show, I’d like him to join Ariel and Maverick in this duo’s current show (don’t know the name for it’s on a late night timeslot) or in Nuts Entertainment with him joining the Balakubak portion.

JC – the sometimes weakling in the physical challenges yet the most handsome guy in the show. JC’s advantage is his good looks; win or lose, JC will surely get his claim of celebrity status. I’d like GMA to cast him in their shows that are lined-up, provided that they will give the boy the proper workshops and trainings. Or he can be paired with Chris Tiu (another GMA 7 promising star/TV host) in a sports-related show.

Why did I say though that JC will not win the title? Well, like what I’ve said, he is perceived to be weak in the challenges. I think the cast-aways are wise enough not to choose a winner which has not shown them that he or she deserves the honor of being the First Sole Survivor. Hello, this is still a physical and tactics show! Let’s face it as well, JC is a star-material (I’ve said that!) and this is just his ticket to fame! For me, he actually does not need to join Survivor; he only needs to do VTRs and attend auditions.

Jace – the strongest contender physically. I just don’t know if mentally, Jace has it (sorry, it’s too early to say!). Jace is the rough version of JC. While JC is the boy-next-door, Jace is the action star material. He has resemblance with Leandro Muñoz (for sure, you can’t remember who he is!). Jace should also join showbiz and should try auditioning for the sidekick role of Robin Padilla in his upcoming “Totoy Bato” show (with Regine Velasquez as the leading lady, hehehe mabanggit lang si Lola Regine! By the way, her Kim Samsoon bowed with an impressive rating as well!).

Kiko – Niña’s male version, Kiko plays the game by-the-book and by principles. He is such a good sport and a good tribe mate, making sure that he is doing his job and contributing all he can for the benefit of the Naak tribe. I like it when he was kidnapped by Jarakay when Naak lost in the immunity challenge. Though with another tribe and must be a pleasing visitor and slave to them, Kiko confessed that his loyalty is still with Naak and realized that even if they frequently lose the challenges, the bond that ties them is far better than the Jarakay’s.

I always tell my co-Survivor fans that I like the Naak tribe more than the Jarakay. Challenge-wise, Naaks are weaker than Jarakays but many would agree that the Naaks is a ‘family’ while Jarakays are divided by their alliances and their individual goals of winning the Sole Survivor title. If I may say, it was a mistake grouping these people who possess either strong or greedy personality in one tribe. When Gigit and Niña went out, I knew the clashes and the culture will remain in the Jarakay tribe for long not unless someone from amongst them would initiate to ‘bind’ the team. I really dislike Marlon and have cursed him so much while watching the show every night; how he boasts and acts as if he is in control of everything (not to mention his in-genuine loyalty by joining both alliances in Jarakay tribe) are sure down-falls for him. I just hope that in the next few weeks he’ll go out. And I hope as well that show business will not open its door to this self-centered and greedy monkey!

Well, the show will run till its finals night on December 6. Surely, there will be more twists and events that will happen while we’re all waiting for the Big Day. My top 5 may make it or not but whatever their fates would be in the competition, I will surely finish this show till its final episode. Thanks to GMA for this Survivor Philippines; the ratings that the show is getting is well-deserved. And I hope the milestone that you have just started does not end here. More Survivors to come!

Note: "exfoshore" is from a friend and reader, Migs Miguel. Just giving him the proper credits! Thanks Migs.

I am Signing Off…

Before you think I am closing this blog account, let me clarify that I am not and I don’t have plans of doing so. This has been a part of my being for more than a year now. I have written many of my unguarded feelings and thoughts in this humble site and true enough, I have made my friends and online contacts more curious about the many things and personas I have written. I also have made them laugh and yes, some of them even cried with me. And most importantly, I knew that my efforts of being a blogger were not wasted, even if my site has not yet landed in the “popular list/most accessed sites” of any blogging network. The fact that one of my entries (I am an Accenture Leader) has been distributed to a few colleagues via e-mail, and that people I don’t know have recognized my writing skills and appreciated it is already a worthwhile recognition.

Now where am I signing off? Well, people in the office may know where. There is this “message board” in the office where our team members may write anything. It was a project of our Unit Lead when she had her “People’s Hour” with our processors and from one of these sessions, someone suggested this message board idea. As instructed, I had to buy a white board immediately and post it in our pantry area. Initially, I was apprehensive of the idea for I knew that this wouldn’t be a healthy message board at all. But since this was requested by our people, we simply must give in.

Little did we realize that the supposed-to-be message board has been the venue where our folks aired their protests and sentiments about everyone, including us, the Project’s Leadership Team. We came to a point that we decided to “censor” the postings because it has been very destructive of our image as a well-performing project of Accenture. Since then, the message board has been posted idly in the pantry area with only a few old announcements.

A few weeks back, someone wrote something I can no longer recall what. Out of curiosity, I wrote another thing: “Blind Item: Who is Black Pearl’s Rhian Ramos?”. This one I honestly wrote out of nothing. I am not pertaining to anyone at all, nor am I making association to anyone unlike a few friends who have associated the codename Shaina to someone from their unit way way back. Expectedly, people have reacted on this posting and someone even said, “Ano ba yan, tagal nang isyu yan!”. Again, I’d like to make it clear; the Rhian Ramos I am pertaining in my posting is just imaginary. I am just waiting for people to react and basically, to enliven the message board again. Where they are coming from to think that I am pointing to someone is not my problem anymore.

Day-by-day, people had many association of characters to which majority of them I am not at all familiar of. And with this, I was happy that the message board has come alive and I also became interested that I decided to drop a few more codenames. There’s Rayver Cruz, Black Pearl’s Denial King (disclaimer: I am not saying the real Rayver Cruz is a denial person). It is just that at the time when I posted this Rhian Ramos thing, the real Rayver of show business denied dating and courting the real Rhian. In the office, we have a denial king as he usually denies dating and courting many girls despite the many instances of him and the girls being seen to many places hence, the association to the real Rayver and Rhian. Again, my clarification: my Rhian Ramos is imaginary while my Rayver Cruz is a real characterization but they do not have direct connection at all.

I also coded Yda Henares, aunt-cum-manager of the real Rhian Ramos. Now, my Yda Henares was someone who reacted so violently about the posting I did for again, the imaginary Rhian Ramos. Twist: I am only pertaining to a girl Yda Henares; later on, it was revealed to me that there was also a guy counterpart. (Some people in the office can sometimes be poor when it comes to associating characters, sorry!).

There was also a Jordan Herrera codename for a guy who is being linked to two girls (they were named Aiko Melendez and Jackie Forster). Now, if you’re fond of the local showbiz, you won’t connect Jordan to Aiko nor Jackie. But specific to this issue: (1) Black Pearl’s Jordan Herrera is a former member of an all-male group. If you can still remember, the real Jordan Herrera is a member of “Power Boys”. Now, Black Pearl, try to connect this! (2) Aiko Melendez and Jackie Forster were both married and with kids. Black Pearl’s Aiko Melendez and Jackie Forster are of the same qualities. (Again, connect this!) Disclaimer again: I was only asked by someone to write this issue in the white message board because (1) he is close to Jordan and (2) he doesn’t have the courage to write what he saw and knew.

Now, there are a few more who were given by the processors themselves.

We all knew who Kelot and Bebot were. We also knew who were Boy Gimik, Romnick Sarmienta and Don Romantiko among others. A few knew who Lady Executive was. And there was Baron Geisler who I didn’t know until I had a chat with a “few sources” recently.

Much that I got curious of him I was really clueless about this Black Pearl’s Baron Geisler. And when I heard a few more details I realized why “my sources” had the association of characters. Now, for the past few days after hearing the stories about Baron, I am not posting anything about it in the message board. Why? Because the character that Baron has shown the majority of us in PBB and in all his controversies was the same character that this Black Pearl’s Baron Geisler has when drunk. (Sorry to the real Baron for this!). And I know that this is slanderous if my “sources” will not support me, and I don’t have plans of dragging them into further messes. I am just delighted and proud that they shared it with me. Amin-amin na lang yun!

Now again, why am I signing off to this “message cum chismis board”?

The day after Jordan Herrera became the “hot item”, someone posted in the message board “List down the most chismoso/chismosa in the office”. And guess who was written as Number 1. It was me! Bullshit! I have in my mind who was the person behind this! Fuck you!

Was I offended? Was I pissed off? The answer to both is a BIG YES!!!

Number 1 - My Rhian Ramos was only a product of imagination.

Number 2 - My Rayver Cruz, though not associated at all to this Rhian Ramos is true. BUT, and a big but, I also mentioned in the message board that Rayver Cruz now has a girlfriend which means, this issue has long died and that, Black Pearl’s Rayver Cruz is no longer a denying person. Sabi nga “hindi na chismis yun!”.

Number 3 – the Jordan Herrera issue is not from me. Again, I was just asked by a friend to write it in the message board. Now, to protect this friend of mine of the hassle, I wouldn’t name him. Let me take the blow!

Number 4 – I pledged to seal my lips about the Baron Geisler issue. More than protecting some people, I honestly believe that this is a “weak case” both for him and his victim; in short, there will be no winner between them. I just wish that both of them would be courageous enough to admit what happened and what is happening between them right now; for there are a few more issues coming out again lately about them. Again, my lips are sealed. Para kasing Rayver Cruz din itong si Baron eh! May pagka-Denial King!

Now, to say that I am the Number 1 Chismoso in the office is a big foul. Ako nga ang huli palage eh! You may probably think I can just rub this issue off, and that was what I am doing. But one day, someone again posted “Ady, wag ka magmalinis!” to which I replied “Hindi ako nagmamalinis… magbasa ka ng blog ko… dun pa lang makikita mo na kung pano ko itsismis ang sarili ko!” And I knew there is only one person behind this plot. Fuck you again!

Who is this person? I dare not say. Sisikat siya sa blog ko!

A few message as my way to end this long blog – I’d like to say my thank you and at the same time, my apologies to my “sources”. Uulitin ko, I only knew of it when you told me and I am not hiding nor protecting the culprit because of our "ties". Days before our chat, I promised I am really signing off and taking myself away out of that message board. Basta tayo, alam natin kung sino si Baron! And whatever it is that we have talked about, atin-atin na lang yun!

And to you Baron – I hope this is a proof enough that I am not chismoso. Much that “kinakati” na ako to tell the whole world who you are, I’d rather seal my lips. Is it because I am protecting you? YES. Coz after all, I consider you a friend. No matter how many times you’ve stabbed my back. No matter how offensive you became at one point. And no matter how my respect to you has declined.

To the Black Pearl folks – Again, I am signing off. To show that I am not your Number 1 Chismoso, this would be the first and last time that I’ll write something about the compromising issues I have unintentionally gotten myself into. The next entries you’ll read here are chismis about me again. Mas maganda na yun, enjoy tayo lahat! Walang nagmamalinis! Di ba Baron?

One Year na pala...

OMG! It slipped my mind... one year na pala ako nagba-blog sa Blogspot wehehehe...

Random Blog

Been trying to post the past few days but all attempts were not successful. One time I am writing something about declaration of the famous line "I have moved on" only to end up deleting all entries because I realized that it is not something that's declared. The real thing about moving on is that you feel that you have moved on and over it, right? Now, to write about it enumerating all the reasons why you felt you've moved on, is simply a manifestation that you have not. I mean, this state of being over does not need any justification anymore. It is simply felt.

I also tried writing something personal about me like things I've done the past days but also was not successful. Reason: the inner drive to write them and by another, nothing much has happened to me except for the many workloads I was very thankful of because they consumed all my energies. When every day ends, I simply head myself out of being a corporate slave and tuck myself in the belt of a businessman (whose business isn't profitable at all, hehehe!). By late night, I am glued in my room's TV set for Survivor Philippines is simply addictive! Of course, that would be after I had a good laugh with all the antics of the Kim Sam Soon cast. By past 11 PM, I am still wide awake for my new set of text buddies are still bugging me (but of course, I enjoy it!). See how non-exciting my life has been lately?

Had it not for today's breather I may have died of boredom already (exag... probably will just break down hehehe). It was my Goddaughter AJ's Second Birthday and her Dra. Mommy Joy did not forget to invite me. Seeing my high school friends again was a sure treat. Also got my invite for the baptism of Carl, though Jojo has called me in the office to inform me I am one of the "ninongs". Again, prisintado ako kay She to be her first born's godfather (I think usapan naman namin yun, ako ang ninong ng lahat ng first borns ng Ts). So I am looking forward for the next weekend. Lois, please fill your car's gas tank, who knows we may have one of our unplanned jaunts again on Saturday?

Now, I had an entry again... even if this one isn't too exciting to read. I apologize... promise, I will be back again...

Good night!
