Anyway, still feeling sleepy that Saturday afternoon, I was awakened by a text message: “Lunch na po babes”. I chose not to reply and instead prepared myself for the reception of Siman-Lim Nuptial to fulfill my duty as the reception program host.
Sunday was such a busy day that we both did not bother to send each other even a single Hi.
Monday, when I was busy listening to Lance Gokongwei’s speech in the 4th Accenture Leadership Conference, I received another text:
“Ingat ka po sa pagpasok babes wag magpakapagod eat your lunch on time”
Swear, kailangan ko na to patulan kasi kinikilig na ako!
Sagot ko: “Assuming ka ha, nun isang araw ka pa tumatawag sa akin ng babes. Babes ka jan!” .
Sumagot: “Hehe malaki ka kc po kaya babe tawag q sau ingat po babes”
(Dissapointment came in. Gusto ko ibato yun baso ko ng iced tea at water pati na rin yun mug ko ng hot chocolate sa kung sino man pwedeng tamaan. Naisip ko lang nasa Renaissance Hotel ako so, I needed to compose myself.)
Sagot ko uli sa kaniya sa sobrang inis: “Hayop ka!”
Sagot nya uli: “Wag n magalit babes miss u po cge po ligo na aq”
Ewan ko ba... kabwiset na kakilig... Ady, magpapayat ka na!!! Baboy ka na daw sabi ni BABES…
